Beckschäfer: Lux fulgebit hodie for mixed choir (SATB) a cappella
No. 5 from "Five Christmas Motets"
Description
Universal Edition presents new works for a cappella choir by German church musician and composer Max Beckschäfer. “Lux fulgebit hodie” is one of five Latin Christmas motets and may be performed alone or within a cycle (with the whole cycle taking about ten minutes).
Beckschäfer consciously used less commonly known lyrics from the liturgy of Christmas. He wanted the pieces to be short and diverse.
Links to the other four motets can be found here:
„Dum medium silentium“
“Angelus ad pastores ait”
“Nesciens mater”
“Magi videntes stellam”
