A music text book designed to transition the music theory or ear training student from alphabet notation (a, b, c, etc.) to the more internationally used solfege notation (do, re, mi, etc.). Initially written for use at The Juilliard School, this text is designed to allow the student to instantly recognize solfege notation in both fixed-do and moveable-do solfege. Exercises are presented in treble, bass, grand staff, and all the "do" clefs. Sections on the history of solfege and tonic solfa are included.
