Stenhammar 30 Songs
The compositions of Swedish composer Wilhelm Stenhammar (1871-1927) have recently begun to capture broad international interest. Outside of Sweden, the excellence of Stenhammar's output has always been obscured by the long-recognized works of the eminent Nordic composers Edward Grieg, Jan Sibelius, and Carl Nielsen. However, since the mid-80s, there has been a marked increase in performances of his works, and recordings are available worldwide. This volume contains not only the word-for-word translations, the IPA transcriptions, and commentary about the composer and the poets; it contains the actual music of all thirty songs.
